All rooms are oceanfront and the hotel is fairly close to the water, so you really feel the effects of the ocean, especially at high tide. Free coffee 24 hours, free cookies, free Internet, free parking.

This is not the kind of resort town you see in Virginia Beach, but it is quiet and a nice place to relax if you like walking onthe beach or sitting in yur room just listening to the waves break on the sandy beach.

I found this hotel to be very pleasant. It is directly on the ocean and each hotel room has a small balcony. My husband and I enjoyed sitting out on it and watching the pelicans fly by as we were on the 7th floor. During our two night stay there was a full moon and it came up directly over the ocean. The room was clean and the beds very comfortable and it was decorated nicely. There is a small shop in the lobby to purchase snacks, lotions, etc., an indoor pool and a very nice outdoor pool. We had dinner in their restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed their breakfast buffet. They have four free PC's in their lobby for the guests to use and parking our car was no problem in their parking lot. I wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel and would recommend it to my friends.

We stayed Oct. 8-9, 2007. We hadn't booked but got a suite for $159 a night, which seemed pretty good value. Suite 1016 was massive with a large lounge, a dining area, kitchenette (but no dishes), bathroom, separate wash sinks and double bedroom. It looked right over the beach and was very clean.

The receptionist was helpful and the waitresses at breakfast were friendly and helpful (it was cold in there, though). The beach was great and the pool was fine as well. Because it was off season we had no trouble getting loungers.

The only downside is that there is nothing much except the beach in Carolina Beach and this is the only good quality hotel in the area. Nice for a quiet relaxing few days but no more, unless you're looking to get away from it all.

This was our grandson's first visit to the beach and we decided to spend the night. The Courtyard at Carolina Beach was recommended by a friend and turned out to be a great location.

We had two adjoining rooms which were large, clean and comfortable. All rooms have an ocean view, the beach is right behind the hotel, and the indoor pool was clean. The water was warm, but that's the way that I like it. The hotel is also very close to the NC Aquarium at Fort Fisher, which we really enjoyed, and the local restaurants were fine. We had a nice buffet breakfast at the Courtyard, and took advantage of the free internet service available in the lobby. (They actually had three computers and a printer!).

The hotel staff were friendly, courteous and helpful. I would definitely stay at the Carolina Beach Courtyard again.
