“Shameful for a Marriott”

Can't believe this hotel is a Mariiott. Ok, it was a holiday week but the hotel was very noisy (thin walls), lousy mattresses, and the breakfast was a joke. I had to tell the manager twice about loud music coming from the room next to us. The room configuration is very strange. The king extended suite was very small. The per night room rate was $135, thought that was high for the area.
We were so disappointed that we checked out 2 days early.
One nice thing about the hotel was that it was convenient to the Casino which was a major reason we picked this. The Holiday Inn Express down the street look 100% better.

The hotel was directly across from the casino. The room was very nice as well. I will definitely visit this hotel again if I am in the Cherokee area.

The Fairfield Inn Cherokee is a great place to stay. The staff was exceptionally helpful and the continental buffet was plentiful.

We stayed in the king extended suite and it was very comfortable.

We left a few items in the room upon departure and the staff gladly shipped them to us.

The location is great if you want to visit the casino. It is actually a closer walk to the casino that from some parts of the casino hotel. It is closer than the casino parking lot and the casino parking garage.

I highly recommed this place. We will stay there again.

I stay in Cherokee a lot and the Fairfield Inn & Suites is my home away from home. It's so conviently located directly across from Harrah's Cherokee Casino, at most a 5 minute walk. They have a wonderful patio on the back of their property and my mother loves to sit out there in the evening when she travels with me. This place is the BEST!!!

Stay away from the Fairfield Inn unless you want the worst service and the smallest rooms!

Service - we encountered the most non-customer service oriented manager we ever met. When we had a valid problem and went to him for assistance, he not only stated multiple times that it was not his problem and he would not do anything, he then complained about his own troubles in life. Most hotels offer a guarantee for customer satisfaction or at least a partial refund - he was not interested in either or in providing any customer service. He later even stated that we made up what we were complaining about! When you are paying $120+ a night, you at least should receive good customer service and friendly attitude.

Rooms - saying they are very, very small is an understatement. Room also felt muggy when we arrived and only the coldest AC would make it ok. Bathroom toiletries were some of the worst we have ever seen. Bedsheets thin and pointless. TV reception was horrible.

We have stayed in a great number of hotels as we travel often throughout the United States, but we would never recommend this hotel to anyone, nor will we ever stay here again.
