Excellent hotel. Stayed just one night. Good clean pool and good clean rooms. Helpful front desk staff. My daughter left her teddy there and they were really kind and thoughtful the next day when we went back for it. The front desk staff at the Microtel in Gatlinburg were helpful in the recovery of the teddy too! We were going to stay there again but time caught up with us and we had to move further on.

This inn was an excellent find in Cherokee, NC, right outside the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. It was away from the main part of town, which was nice, because all the tacky tourist attractions were far away. The hotel was very reasonably priced, clean, new and comfortable. My only objection was that the staff at the hotel did not have a map of Cherokee or the surrounding area, making it difficult to find the park. They were very friendly, but didn't know how to get into the park (like they had never been there before!) There was a grocery store right next to the hotel which was very convenient.

I have stayed here on three occassions. I chose this hotel over my options in Sylva, NC (about 15 mins away), even though the reason for my visit was to see my children (in Sylva!).

Simply put, I drove an extra dozen or so miles, saved about $30 a night, had a grocery store and at least three restaurants within a 2-minute walk (fast food, but still handy), and a nice, clean, comfortable room with a friendly staff. Not five-star, but very good for the price.

Brand new place. Nice and warm rooms, and not expensive at all. Very friendly staff.
Highly recommended.
