Stayed here with my family on the way home from Florida. Jameson's were recommended by family who had been happy with the chain. We stayed here 1 night and had 3 rooms and all were found to be clean and comfortable. The outdoor pool was closed although it was cold, so we never asked the reason. They had a very nice breakfast room with adequate cereals, muffins, bagels, and a wafflemaker. Being a family of 5, it's imperative that a free breakfast is included. We stay on a government rate and it's very reasonable when the time/cost of a convenient breakfast is figured in. The rooms are not huge, but we had no trouble fitting a rollaway bed in with the 2 doubles. We will probably keep this as our annual return-trip hotel unless we find that things have changed for 2007.

Okay, this is Dunn, NC, set your expectations accordingly. What a very good value and surprise this hotel was. Travelled with 2 Corgi dogs. (Additional $10 pet fee) Staff was very accommodating. Room was up to date, clean, well appointed. King bed non-smoking was that; no aromas of past smoking (in NC, non-smoking can mean, well, not at the moment). Bed was pillow top, extremely comfortable, with an oversized side chair and ottoman that made for additional space and comfort. Good breakfast with make your own waffles, cereals, and very decent coffee, juice. Very convenient location, o.k. restaurants close by. Similar to a Hampton, a little less money, very much recommend it.

I was headed on business travel in the Dunn area and booked a room at the Jameson Inn based on the positive reviews, am breakfast, and location. I booked my room ~1 month in advance because I wanted the amenities of in-room refrigerator and microwave and secured the reservation with a cc. After a long, hard day at work, I arrived at the Jameson around 9:30 pm. During the check-in process, the front desk clerk found my reservation, told me my room #, and put an authorization on my cc. She tried repeatly (~10 times) to 'swipe' my room card, and finally it 'worked'. I got to the room and tried the card several times and got nothing but the red light and a still locked door. I went back to the front desk twice to get her to rekey the card. It never worked, so she decided to let me in with her master key. When she opened the door, the privacy chain stopped it because THERE WAS SOMEONE IN THE ROOM! She apologized then told me that she had forgotten that earlier that evening someone came in and requested the room that had been assigned to me, and she gave it to them and didn't rebook me into another room. She proceeded to place me in another room, but the key card machine still didn't work! So she had to use her master key again! She told me that I could "just bam on the window at the front desk" and she would let me in and out of the room! I was so angry that I immediately told her that I wanted to check out of the room for which I had no key. She had to call the property manger to see if that was allowed! The manager didn't want to at first, but eventually relented and offered to pay one night's lodging at a nearby hotel (which never happened). Then the front desk clerk couldn't print a receipt for me showing that I had checked out. I had to return the next day for a receipt! I travel frequently and have never had such a horrible experience. Unfortunately, now I am turned off by all Jameson Inns and probably won't EVER stay at one again.

This was a wonderful suprise. I am usually wary of exterior corridor hotels, but this one was great. The room was spotless and clean. The furnishings were new and the decor was beautiful (beautiful lamps and work desk with a high back leather chair). They are not stingy with pillows -- my king size bed had five pillows! The bed was incredibly comfortable. They have wireless internet and a computer for guest use in the lobby. The rooms have everything -- ironing boards, irons, refrigerator, microwave, hairdryer, coffeemaker. The breakfast was make your own waffles, fresh strawberries, oranges, apples, muffins, juices, cereal, etc. The staff was friendly checking in and the manager came into the breakfast room to enquire about our stay and seemed genuinely interested. Everyone who worked there was happy and smiling. This is a great stop one block off of I-95.
