To begin with, my reservations were not made properly. I've made online reservations many times before, so i'm not sure if I'm to blame or if the system somehow screwed up. They did correct the problem at the desk when I arrived.

The room was not cute and modern with bold colors like the pictures I saw on their website. Its just your standard hotel room. I don't travel with soap or shampoo and conditioner since most places give try to give you something decent. Only shampoo and dial soap in the room. No conditioner. The towels are very rough, like sandpaper and there was someone blasting music at 5am which made me all the crankier! The cleaning woman threw away my opened sample package of shower gel which still contained enough for at least 1 or 2 more showers.

The internet use instructions were out of date/incorrect, so you have to call the desk to get the proper instructions-poor.

On the up side, the bed was decent, and the room at least isn't cramped. I would not stay here again. There's got to be better places.

This place was great. Clean room, very comfortable bed. Tried to get hotel closer to airport but they were all very expensive for a one night stay. We paid only $62 for a king room. It was only about 20 min. to the airport. I would definately stay here again at any price. This property is every bit as good as as the Hampton Inns and the Marriott properties, if not better!

Not a bad place to stay. I was booked here through the folks who invited me down to Durham for a business trip. I probably would not have stayed there by choice as I would have preferred to have been closer to the Duke campus and points downtown. But the rooms were very nice; clean, good TV channel selection and free wired internet access. The breakfast was average. The night-time service left some to be desired, but I don't hold that against the hotel. If you need a place close to Chapel Hill and Durham, this is not a bad choice.

This was a one night stay here, and i was plesently surprised. I have never stayed in a La Quinta before and this was a clean bright and friendly hotel. It was as if the hotel had opend only yesterday. The rooms were big and the bed was comfortable. I could not find fault in the bedroom or bathroom. It was deffinatly better than some of the more expensive hotels we have stayed on our vacation. I would highly recomend this hotel to anyone staying in the Durham / Chapel Hill area.
