I had surgery recently, so getting in and out of tubs is currently difficult for me. My S.O. was allowed to see the room before reserving. The tub had a total of 4 rails, a flip up bench seat, and a handheld shower with massage (which was mounted on a mobile sliding bar for easier reach).

The hotel also provided a refrigerator at no additional charge.

Overall, very nice!

Note: FYI... this hotel also has a few jacuzzi rooms.

I stayed at the Courtyard Durham during the Easter weekend. The rate was pretty good ($59 a night), so I was a little hesitant about booking the room, but I've never had a problem with a Marriott property so I made the reservation anyway. I wasn't disappointed. The staff was friendly and attentive. The room was clean; the beds very comfortable; the location is ideal (right off of Interstate 40). The only complaint I have is that there is no restaurant on the premises so you can't order room service. There are several fast food joints right down the road, but I didn't see any nice sit down restaurants close by. They do serve breakfast until 11:00 a.m. The breakfast buffet was pretty nice (scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, grits, biscuits, oatmeal with walnuts and raisins, cold cereal, bagels, pancakes, and a "make your own waffle" machine). Oh yeah, one more small complaint....the television was pretty small (19 inches)!

I would definately stay at the Courtyard Durham Research Triangle Park again.

“Good, but nothing special”

"Courtyard" is intended to be Marriott on a budget, and at this location it achieves that. It's not luxurios, but it is clean, roomy, quiet & comfortable and has decent service. Free broadband internet is a nice touch, but even that is becoming common - especially at hotels in the RTP area.

Location is fine - just off the interstate, a few miles from the airport, convenient for all the firms on RTP, or Rayleigh/Durham centres.

It cost me $120 per night, which isn't bad for this location in mid week.

So a fairly typical mid range business hotel. Nothing special, but no problems either. Perfectly acceptable :-)
