Stayed here in early September for a business trip to RTP. The hotel was perfect for a business traveler. Perks included free fruit, coffee, and lemonade near the elevators.

The room was fine, had everything you'd expect including coffee maker, internet access, and normal limited TV options. About my only complaint was that when I checked in there was absolutely no soap in the room, though I called down to housekeeping and had a few bars brought up quickly.

Room service was good, with a decent selection of options. The indoor pool was a decent as well.

Overall I'd recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to RTP as it is very close to most business locations though be aware that there is a lot of road construction in the area.

Friendly staff, clean rooms and exceptionally clean bathrooms. Well appointed room, with probably the best beds I have slept on at a hotel. The bed linens and comforters were very nice and comfortable.

The Marriott in Research Traingle Park is a very nice hotel. It is a smaller-than-normal Marriott hotel (I have a stereotype of large Marriott hotels) but still carries the normal Marriott luxury. We stayed at the Marriott as part of a large group of collegiate football players playing at the NC State football field.

The rooms at the Marriott all are quite different in layout. Some rooms are standard block room with four walls, bathroom and beds. Other rooms have a hallway from the door to the room while other rooms are seemingly quite small.

The meeting facilities are very nice as is the restaurant (the Pork BBQ sandwich was fantastic). The managers are very accomodating and willing to help in any way possible. Parking is adequate as is access to Interstate 40. Some floors require access card but most rooms are accessible to all guests. Speaking of accessibility, our room was a handicap room and was very spacious, including the very nice bathroom.

Some parts of the hotel could use a little renovation (shower-heads are loose, toilet tissue rollers are squeaky) but only in regards to increasing luxury.

Overall, very nice hotel and will stay there again next week when we visit Duke University.

I price-lined the Mariott RTP hotel for $60 with no regrets. Very nice rooms, catering to the business traveler. I did not try any of the food services, but you can't beat the cleanliness and friendliness of this place. A-1 in my book.
