My Husband & I stayed here 2 nights, September 7 & 8 (for $106.79 a night booked via calling the establishment day of our stay.) while on a two week road trip. We were looking for a place to stay near the military base (to visit family) and we flipped through our AAA book and found this wonderful place. It's not wonderful because it offers great views, or because it's near famous tourist attractions. It's wonderful for all the reasons below.
We have only great things to say. It was our most favorite stay on our trip.
- Front desk staff was sooo personable. (Much more than anywhere else)
- Lobby had a great home feel and free internet too! (No other place we stayed had that)
- Pool looked very nice although we didn't use it.
- There is a small visitor center / museum about military aircraft directly behind the hotel. This looked interesting but we didn't go in. (Some of the aircraft are outside of the hanger anyway.)
- The room was totally updated; nice artwork on the walls, lap desk for working on the bed (Nice extra touch), bedding was a gorgeous white duvet down comforter (Wonder how they keep that clean?) rather than the creepy typical hotel comforter.
- Smelled fine, a/c worked perfect, iron & board in room, and there a full length mirror too! (Not many places have that.)
- The bathroom was spacious and very nice. Good ventilation and water pressure. And we loved the shower curtain! The rod bowed out for more shower room and there was a see through peek-a-boo area at the top of the curtain - no chance of feeling enclosed or trapped. These two features were a great touch for hotel showers which usually creep me out.
- Last but certainly far from least the awesome free breakfast! We're talking fruit, yogurt, juices, flavors of coffee & teas, bagels, toast, english muffins, danish, muffins, 6 kinds of cereal, waffles, and breakfast sandwiches (like McD's bacon-egg-cheese-biscuit) you could pop in the microwave! Not to mention the condiments; butter, peanut butter, cream cheese, syrup, and jams! Plenty of nice, comfortable seating in the breakfast area along with a free newspaper or you could watch TV.
We absolutely enjoyed ourselves and would return in a moments notice.
