Stayed here overnight on return trip home from Florida. Stayed here in the past a few times, but not in two years. Government rate cheap $57, so that was a deal. Room okay, but few issues. The furniture was polished with some sort of oily polish which I had to take a washcloth and try to remove it from workdesk and night stand before putting any of our belongings out. The tub floor was stained gray. The towel racks had a build up of dust. There were places that definitely needed some deep cleaning. Headboards and entertainment center dusty. The flourescent lights in the elevator were bug filled and there was a piece of chewing gum stuck up there. A/C in room stunk, when we turned it on and looked in the vents-full of dust and a few burnt matches. The hotel definitely is showing it's age. The carpeting going up to 2nd floor wearing out and stained. Sheets appeared to be clean along with towels though. I probably would not stay here again and would look for a newer hotel. We also ate at the Ruby Tuesday's there, because Outback was not open. Bad choice, poor service, Casear Salad the consistency of creamed spinach and the order totally wrong, restaurant itself smelled liked a barnyard. No compensation for the problems even though manager came over. I would not return there either. The Ruby Tuesdays in our area are top notch, so we were quite surprised.
