This was the second time my husband and I had stayed at this hotel. Recommended by a New Bern relative. The staff has always been friendly. The rooms are good size, nothing fancy, but clean. Some rooms face the river. Continental breakfast set up in lobby area. Prices reasonable. Would probably stay again.

My daughter & I went to New Bern to consider re-locating. We got a realtor's rate on the hotel because we met with a realtor to look at housing. The staff was friendly and very helpful with directions. The elevator was not working half the time we were there though, and the room we stayed in smelled like it was a smoking room turned into a non-smoking room. Over-all a very pleasant experience.

Stayed here in April, 2004. Checked out the Holiday Inn and other hotels. None were priced as well, and none nearly as nice. Plus, it's got the best location right across a river from downtown. The othrs are on the strip outside of town. We walked over the bridge into town.
The rooms were large and had never been smoked in. Everything was clean, quiet and welll maintained. Manager was great. Held our reservation and provided a rollaway at no charge. Only down side was the free breakfast, which was pretty gross, though you could take your (tasteless, weak) coffee and walk around the marina. Nie town, too.
