Having been to the Natural History Museum, this was the next logical stop, As a Brit, I know little about American history apart from the Pilgrim Fathers and being kicked out in the War of Independence (oh and that John Wayne won most of the other battles).
This museum was so informative about native American culture and society. Coming from a city which can trace it's history by date to 72AD (Chester England), it was nice to learn about America before the Pilgrim Fathers. I learned lots about slavery, and Thomas Day(obviously and American Chippendale(the furniture designer not the strippers )) . I did not realise free slaves were not safe to travel. Had been to Stagville so had some prior knowledge.
This is a must for all visitors who want to learn more about American history.
