I stopped here twice over the Christmas holiday on my trip from Florida to Connecticut and back. I found this Courtyard a perfectly acceptable place to stay. The staff was friendly and the place looked clean and well kept. I booked the rate that included breakfast in the lobby, which was scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, biscuits and gravy, plus the usual continental assortment of stuff. Guilt inspiring, but hey, it was the holidays.
This hotel is just a little out of the way, but less than 5 minutes off 95 via easy driving roads. There are signs at all the turns (3), but the one on the local road looked pretty small at 11 p.m. and I missed it the first time. The hotel is fairly close to the second highway you take to get there. It's located 3 or 4 hours from DC and 9 or 10 hours from Orlando.
I was happy with the rooms. The furniture looked to be an older format, but was in good shape. I've seen a newer room format in a Courtyard up by DC. Thankfully they do have the new foam mattresses. The hard Fairfield ones kill my back after a day of driving. Everything worked fine and the room was nice and quiet despite being sold out the second time I stayed. There were a few water stains in the carpet, but whatever. Otherwise the room looked very clean to me.
I will definitely stay here again when it fits into my driving schedule.
