Highly recommend this hotel!!!!! The hotel was easy to check in and out of. The entire staff was very friendly. The hotel felt safe and had a clean, fresh smell. The kitchen was equipted with everything including pots and pans and utensils and glassware. The bed was beautiful, comfortable and had lots of fluffly pillows. It was a nice layout including a huge closet with full length mirrors. The bathroom had a large shower and tub and great water pressure. Sleeping was easy because it was quiet. The free breakfast was delicious and included hot biscuits, sausage, eggs, waffles and much more. I would highly recommend this hotel. For the price we paid it was above my expectations compared to other hotels with the same rates. When we left we were told to come back and stay on a Wednesday night to attend the free bar b q by the pool. Would definetly stay again!

I wish I had more reasons to go to Rocky Mount because I am now this hotel's biggest fan!

My studio suite was stylishly decorated in warm colors. The bed had attractive linens and at least five pillows of different thicknesses. The vanity area was huge by current hotel standards. Wireless internet service was free. There was even complimentary popcorn in the kitchen area.

But the popcorn didn't get eaten because Wednesday nights are Cook Out nights at the Residence Inn. I was invited to dinner upon checking in late that afternoon and enjoyed a hamburger, sides, dessert, and beverages. The receptionist even called me between check-in and dinner to see if everything was okay in my room.

The staff was friendly. Dinner was great and their full complimentary breakfast the next morning looked equally tasty.

My most recent business trips have included stays in well-known hotels in Atlanta and Washington, DC and this little hotel has both properties beat! I'm more than impressed with this gem of a hotel and am looking for reasons to return.

We stayed at this hotel twice. Once on our way to Florida and once on our way back. Both rooms we stayed in were very nice. Very clean and PLENTY of room. Staff was wonderful and breakfast was very good.
The beds are very comfortable. Had a great nights sleep after a long drive. I would absolutely stay here again without question.

Suggestion: If you are a very light sleeper, ask for a room on the side away from I64. The road noise was pretty low but our second room was further away from the highway and it was quieter. Not a big deal either way though. I'm just a very light sleeper.

As for places to eat...I tried the Outback that is within walking distance and was dissapointed. There are other places to eat though so you shouldn't have any problem.

If you want a blast from the past then try staying at the Residence Inn by Marriott, in Rocky Mount, North Carolina.

When we checked in we was told that the room had an oven. I am on a baked food diet, and when we checked in there was not one. And when we was questioning the fact that there was not one they told us that there was not enough room for the oven.

But when I made the reservation, I was told there was one.

This property is not a Corporate owned Property. Which is really no big deal, but the staff here is nice. And the fact that there is Security at night makes me feel so much better. Anyway, they have decent rooms, but alittle pricie for the size of the room of a Studio, and one bedroom suite.

Beds are nice and comfortable..room is ok..Love the fact I can have my dog with me. $75.00 NRFD for the entire stay. She loved everyone there.
