It is with some reservation that I write a negative review about a motel, as I don't want to negatively impact these folks livelyhood; however I do think others should be aware of what it will be like to stay here. On the positve side, the staff was curteous both during check in and check out; and there is wireless internet with a good connection (at least from the room I stayed in). Now for the negatives.... The room seemed very old and worn. There were many scuff marks on the walls, the rug was threadbare, the florescent light emitted an anoying buzzing sound, the mattress was uncomfortable, the sheets had my skin itching (I suspect it was the polyester, but I worried about bed bugs). The shower curtain was moldy. Worst of all was the "continental breakfast"; It consisted of some tiny sugary donuts and some "coffee rolls" wrapped in plastic, there was also so white bread and cereal. I couldn't find anything that I would eat, but my daughter (10) ate the coffee roll but couldn't eat more than a bite or two saying it was much too sweet for her.
Even though it only cost $56 for the night (with taxes), I still felt like I paid about twice too much.
