I stayed at the Wilmington Courtyard from April 19-22. The place is decent and clean and the staff was friendly. Rooms are small, though. The location is good if you need access to UNCW, and there are zillions of restaurants and shops in the area (this property is at the busiest intersection in Wilmington). I didn't find out until I arrived that the advertised high speed internet connection was Wi-Fi. I only had an ethernet card, so needless to say I didn't get as much work done as I'd planned. I paid $50/night through Priceline and it was worth it, though barely.

This is an ideal low-frills hotel for business travel to Wilmington. We stayed here in March of 2004, and the rooms were somewhat small, but neat and clean. The staff was friendly and helpful every time we needed to interact with them, and the hotel's free Wi-Fi service was a great convenience. The laser printer available in the lobby for customer use, combined with the hotel's free Wi-Fi service throughout the building, proved more convenient and better suited to my needs than the wired-down "business centers" of many pricier hotels. This was my best stay yet at a Courtyard, and I'd be glad to stay there again -- for business or even for leisure travel.
