This past February was our first trip to Wilmington and it won't be our last! As soon as I called The French House to make our reservation I spoke to Janice, the Innkeeper, and I just knew this was the place to stay. Our suite was very charming, private and clean. Janice was very pleasant to deal with and very accommodating especially to our 3 year old. She made us feel like it was our home and went out of her way with all of her special touches to make our stay very enjoyable and memorable. Janice is a true southern lady with genuine hospitality. We won't hesitate to stay at The French House when we return to Wilmington!

They dont take credit cards !! Just what decade are they operating in!!! We made the reservation on the phone and when we arrived we were told they had double booked our room and that the other couple had allready arrived. They pointed us in the direction of another B&B they recommended. It was late so we left and went to stay at the other B&B. It was terrible. It was our anniversay weekend and we were looking for a nice romantic atmosphere. We wound up in a renovated brick building that had no charm whatsoever. Thanks French House for screwing up our weekend and our anniversary. Everyone please beware of this place.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend for our 7th Anniversary. This is such a lovely bed and breakfast. Janice, the innkeeper, is such a friendly person and she makes you feel so welcome. She has 3-4 rooms that she rents out and they all have antiques. Her breakfast is served on trays and delivered to your room. My husband loves this because he hates sitting at a table with a large group of people he doesn't know. Her breakfast consists of pastries, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, tarts, juice, coffee, milk, and more. It is plenty to fill you up in the morning and get you going for the rest of the day. Each room also has a private bath, phone, and TV. It is only four blocks from the riverfront in historic downtown Wilmington, NC. Wrightsville Beach is only a 10 minute drive away from downtown. This is a wonderful inn to stay at, and I would stay again.
