The rooms were everything promised. The bed and bath as well as furnishings were wonderful. However, a reservation request on inns online promising a $25 gift certificate with a confirmed reservation was never responded too. A $10 online coupon was never honored. The satellite cable tv was a major problem as well as the batteries in the remote. Mr. Darling was very welcoming and friendly. Mrs. Darling treated us like we were unwelcome intruders in her home. Information provided in the room stated you could open the sliding glass doors provided the air conditioning was turned off which we did to subsequently get screamed at as the white mercedes was pulling away to close the door the air conditioning was on without being able to respond that we had turned it off. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the inn showing a secluded location. It was completely surrounded by hotels and rental properties. Being told the beach was very secluded and quiet and private property we found it to be crowded as it was on a public beach access with many other public accesses nearby. The only other glitch was information stating that a blue bottle of mineral oil was provided which was not. The basket of food brought by every evening by a very sweet girl with the turn down service was amazing. Muffins, juice, biscotti, coffee, fruit, candy and many other items too numerous to name. I mentioned that the chocolate biscotti was especially good and Erin asked if I would like extra. The beds were turned down every night; however, sheets were not changed daily. Their was a rust colored stain on the bottom sheet at the top that could be seen when turned down. That is how we know they were never changed during our stay. Beach towels were provided that were never mentioned which was a added plus but also were not replaced. Nicest place to stay in the area. The closest place that would rate not as good but exceptional being the Waterway Lodge at Wrightsville which has the distinction of not being on the beach. Rates a little steep for the area. This place would be much more suited to the Litchfield Beach/Pawley's Island area rather than such a public location.
