“Great Weekend Getaway!”

My boyfriend and I decided to get away for the weekend for Valentines. He found this place online and we loved it! We had never stayed at a Bed and Breakfast before so we weren't sure what to expect we had a wonderful stay. The innkeeper was so nice as soon as we arrived... he showed us all the places to go and good restaurants to go eat at! Scott, the innkeeper, was very entertaining and funny! The breakfasts were great, too! We stayed in the Serenity room, which I highly recommend. It had a fireplace and a nice bathroom and it was very relaxing! We felt right at home the whole time we were there. We would go back this weekend if we could!

Great hisoric home in downtown area. The room was very nice, but a little chilly. The reception when we arrived wasn't (chilly that is). The owner, Scott, was great. A very nice and personable introduction to the property and a delicous breakfast the next day. A great place to stay.

We needed a night out of town! Sound familiar? Work was too stressful, the town we live in was beginning to feel small, and we needed to breathe some of the salty-ocean air.

Having been to a few b&b's in the Wilmington area, I can honestly say, thus far, the Taylor House was one of the best. It is an easy 4 block walk to downtown historic Wilmington, the swing on the front porch is a lovely place to sit and talk after dinner, the rooms are incredible. You can't hear anyone else in the house, the water pressure is excellent, the floors are a stunning hardwood, the bed was luxurious, and the small touches like chocolates on our pillows were such a nice touch from the owners, Karen and Scott.

We had to leave before breafast but Scott made us the most adorable muffin bag with fresh fruit and water. (Maybe he could sense the need for hydration after our big night out downtown!) I did however see the most beautiful table set with the most carefully decorated plates before sneaking out to head home.

Are we going back??? Absolutely! We'll be back as soon as we possibly can.

We had a wonderful stay at Taylor House Inn - Scott and Karen made us feel very welcome. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the attention to detail. The breakfasts were phenominal - everyday something new! Scott and Karen were very knowledgable of the area, and were only too happy to advise of great restaurants and beaches to visit. We absolutely recommend The Taylor House Inn as a great place to visit.

This was one of the best experiences of our life!!! We loved everything about this inn. The owners are the nicest people you will ever meet. The breakfast is unbelievable!!! Very pretty, and extremely clean rooms with impressive antiques...this is not a luxurious inn, but a very comfortable, colonial inn. Like coming home, only better....We will be back!!!!!!!!!!!! You would be lucky to be able to stay at the Taylor House!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
