Just returned from a week at the Severina.
The hotel is exceptionally clean and being very new, in good repair.
The staff are all very friendly and helpful, sometimes the language barrier is a little problem but nothing that going abroad isn't all about.
We stayed in a one bedroomed apartment on a self catering basis through Balkan Holidays. The apartment is large and would easily cater for a family with small children. The only downside is that the shower room is small (no bath). The apartment contained everything you need if you want to cook simple meals.
There is a small restaurant/cafe which sevrves a large selection of everything from beans on toast to local dishes, and very cheap. A pint of lager is 60p!
The hotel is located at the north of the resort and a 25 minute walk to the 'Cuban', centre, but the main road is in front with a regular bus. A single fare anywhere to as far as Nessebar is about 25p.
I would highly recommend this hotel for couples who want a bit of freedom. The complex is very small with a small sunbathing area which gets the sun basically half in the morning and afternoon, so if it was busy you would find difficulty getting a sunbed (you need to swap sides of the pool as the day goes on).
There is nothing for older children, so I wouldn't take my teenagers here.
