I spent a full day at Avonlea Village with my 5 year old daughter and it was a wonderful day. The actors are amazing and remembered all the kids that they ran into after meeting them once. The "village" is extremely well kept and very in keeping with the theme. You get to dress up for free (charged at other locations) and they take your picture, you get samples at all the shops and most importantly you are treated like family.
The only small problem we ran into all day was that lunch took 45mins. to get to us. It was resolved in the end but we did miss parts of the play because of it. More than compensated by the music we listened to all day and the quality of the show. Well worth the visit and the money!

We visited Avonlea Village on a whim. We didn't really want to go because we thought it would be too commercialized. Boy were we wrong! They held true to the books and the re-enactments were fabulous. The music was authentic, lively and fun. Don't miss the end of day temperance meeting. It was the highlight of our trip. Our 15 year old daughter had a blast dancing with Charlie Sloane and Gilbert Blythe, and our 11 year old daughter loved driving Margaret, the draft horse. Every person who worked there was professional and fun. They stayed in character the whole day. Even the dads had a great time. We would definitely go here again.

We recently decided to take a trip up to PEI for a couple of days. None of us had ever been their before, so we really had no expectations. But we dearly loved the Anne of Green Gables story, and we just had to visit Anne Land while there. We found Avonlea kind of by mistake after having seen Green Gables. What a wonderful mistake that turned out to be!

What a delight that magical day was for all of us (my older sister and my mother). The characters running around were exactly as I pictured them (especially Anne) and the activities were fascinating. Not so frantic as to have to miss anything, but little lag time between events.

This is the place that anyone who is an Anne fan MUST visit while in PEI. It is a magical exprience you won't regret and you won't soon forget.

We had a wonderful day at Avonlea village. It was a thrill for my 8-year-old daughter and my 80-year-old mother. The staff were very friendly and the old-fashioned atmosphere was a nice change. THe skits and music shows were very entertaining. My daughter loved meeting Anne and having her picture taken with her! I recomment this to young and old alike.
