We just returned from a week stay at Casa Las Brisas and everything - the hotel, rooms, service, food - exceeded our expectations. This is a small, quiet botique hotel on a long deserted beach. The price includes everything, but don't let that scare you, this place is very classy. The food was fantastic and everything was very elegant and refined. The pool is amazing with lots of spots to hang out and read or enjoy a drink.

The rooms and hotel itself are very well decorated with a casual elegance. Great artwork is around every corner. Nothing is overlooked. The beds are extremely comfortable and each room has an i-Pod docking station. Our bathroom was huge and luxorious with hand painted tiles and Aveda products. Each room has a lovely balcony with ocean views.

Keep in mind that this is a place to go and relax. After a few days we felt like we were visiting a friend's house on the beach. Our days went something like this - wake up late, eat a scrumptous breakfast, take a long walk down the beach and maybe snorkel, lay at the pool or beach all day, afternoon nap, predinner drinks, dinner and sunset watching, lay around the pool or beach listening to music or playing a card game, and retiring to bed. The only time we left the hotel was to visit a nearby beach town of Sayulita, which I do recommend if you have the time. It's only 15 mins away, but for us it was tough to leave the hotel at all.

Overall, I highly recommend this property. Enjoy!

We heard of this place through an associate who had stayed there and raved about it. Checking out other reviews on Trip Advisor only backed up the claims.

We went for Christmas week. We made reservations 7 months in advance for this week. Marc, the owner & architect, was very communicative in the pre-arrival phase and there for some time almost every day

As others have said, the location is a bit remote, but if you just want to "veg," it's perfect. It is just a stone's throw from the lovely Four Seasons, which has the #1 rated golf course in the world per a recent Conde Naste poll. This area is developing fast, so it will not always be so remote.

You never need to leave this place. All food and drink is included, and it's quite good. For breakfast you have your choice of cereals eggs any style, bacon, ham, waffles, almost anything. Lunch was usually more set but always excellent. For dinner there were always three entrees with one beef and one vegetarian, as well as two or three other courses. Breakfast and lunch we took poo//beachside, but dinner we ate in the open air restaurant/bar because it was cooler but still at night in December.

Ths staff, Memo especially, is superb and make you feel like family in no time. Because there are only 7 rooms, it is very intimate and you feel very priveleged to be there. The beach is vey good, about a mile long an quite clean. The waves when we were there were very large and not good for swimming, though summer may be better.

The villa was very pleasing architecturally. Our room was excellent with both a lovely balcony overlooking the ocean and pool, and a terrace on the front side off the bathroom that was nicely landscaped. A very large bathroom with large walk-in shower and separate toilet compartment with view. The ocean was very loud at night but quite soothing. The various birds which populated this stretch of beach were very entertaining to watch, and the shell collecting good. We heard there are plans to expand with a few private villas to the south of the poperty. The beach is very un-touristy, there being only one other multi-unit facilty on the mile-long beach. Locals would come down for the day, and at sunrise and sunset you had the whole thing practically to yourself.

Absolutely everything was included in the quite reasonable daily rate--3 meals, all beverages including beer, wine, cocktails, airport transfers; they even had a car we borrowed for free for a short trip and they laundered an pressed a couple pair of my pants for free. Feeliing you're getting good value for your money was just icing on a very delicious cake. We will definitely be back.

“Incredible Secluded Paradise”

My friend and I spent 4 Days in Puerto Vallarta followed by 3 Days at Casa las Brisas. Puerto Vallarta is just OK. Very touristy, lots of people, and the beach vendors will not leave you alone. Been there, done that, probably wont go back.

Now, Casa las Brisas is in a whole other world. Absolute paradise! Very pricey, but worth every penny. The closest thing to perfect as I've ever experienced!

Located about 45 minutes North of the PVR Airport. The roads are just fine. Mostly paved, except the final 10 minutes which is a well maintained dirt road. You are just far enough from civilazation to escape the masses, but close enough for a day trip for shopping or tours.

Only 6 Suites + 1 Penthouse, means no more than 14 guests when it's fully occupied. The service was very personal and outstanding. The quality of the food was fabulous. A very well designed and planned boutique hotel. The attention to little details was obvious at every turn.

The beach is great for walking and the water was warm enough for swimming. The beach is nearly deserted M-F while more local folks seem to visit on weekends, but never crowded. And NO beach vendors!!!

While this is not a "gay" hotel, it is a very "gay friendly" hotel. My partner and I were treated exceptionally well and we will be going back. In fact, we seemed to blend right into the mix of couples and families and we're treated well by other guests, as well. We were made to feel very much at home.

If you are looking for peace-and-quiet and to get away from the world-- this is the place. There are no TV's or telephones in the rooms. There are no discos, nightclubs, shopping malls, or other commercialized businesses nearby. Just warm, friendly people, beautiful sunsets, and the constant sound of the ocean.

“Incredible!”

We loved it, loved it, loved it!

Because of an odd flight from Hawaii (we went for a friends's wedding) we ended up arriving in Puerto Vallarta at midnight. We were met prior to baggage claim by a representative from the company that transferred us to Casa Las Brisas. It is about a 45 minute drive and better seen during the day when you can get a look at your surroundings and check out some non-touristy, traditional cities. There was some construction close to the hotel but nothing too uncomfortable. When we arrived at the house, (close to 1 AM), Memo and Manuel greeted us at the door with warm smiles saying, "Welcome Home!" They took us to our room, offerred us cheese and fruit and showed us where our fully stocked mini-fridge was hidden so that we could enjoy a frosty cerveza and relax. We decided approximatley 15 minutes later that this was a place we would return to time and time again. The remaining seven days did nothing but reaffirm our initial feelings of Casa Las Brisas.

The rooms are incredible! It seems as though they have thought of everything! The bed was so comfy with really nice linens that feel especially good on sunburned legs. They provided robes, hairdryers, and even I-Pod stations for all you techies. The shower was immense and in answer to several prior reviews I have read...the water was HOT! Each room has a balcony that overlooks the pool or the beach. It is the special touches that make it- everynight while we were at dinner someone would come and cover our bed with a white linen canopy, add flowers to the pillow, and dim the lights.

The food was great. There is a lot to chose from for breakfast, although my husband ate an omelet every single morning he swore they were so good. Dinner was really special with all of the tables pulled out on the porch overlooking the beach so that you could watch the sun set over the ridge just beyond the house. The four course dinners were really scrumptous and you never left the table hungry or dis-satisfied. We have to admit that the soups were our favorite and we would speculate everyday what the chef would delight us with that evening...if you get the good fortune and the cream of poblano chili soup is on your nightly menu...TRY IT!!! Having said all of that, lunch was our favorite. They always prepared tradidtional Mexican fare- ceviche, quesidillas, chicken mole, and fresh guacamole and pico de gallo everyday.

Now on the beverages, of which we drank many. To reiterate what everyone says, "The margarita's are STRONG!" We were so badly wounded by them the first day that we hesitated to try them the rest of the week. In general, the alcohol was plentiful...the staff was always around asking if you were ready for a re-fill. We casually asked the first day what we should do if we wanted a drink and the staff was gone and they told us to help our selves...treat it like it was our house.

While the lodgings, the food, and the beverages were far above par, it was the service that really made our stay fantastic! All of the guys, Roberto, Memo, Lalo, Semi, Maurico, and Manuel were great! We left the trip feeling like we had made six new friends...they are some of the most warm, welcoming, friendly, and accomodating people we have ever met!

As a fairly seasoned traveler, this was hands down the best vacation I have ever taken. We will be returning and bringing friends with us. If you have already booked and are reading this review in prepartion, you will not be disappointed...if you havent booked yet, let me assure you that you will not regret it.

My wife and I would concur with the other positive reviews previously posted. We had a great stay. Can't say enough about the staff, food and accommodations. Any negative items that have been posted previously, weren't encountered during our stay. For what it is, Casa Las Brisas is a very romantic, relaxing getaway.

We considered going into PV for a day but declined after other guests told us about the three cruise ships and associated shoppers they encountered. The hotel did let us use the "courtesy" car for a day trip up the coast to Sayulita and Rincon.

If you're looking for someplace to spool down and be pampered with great food and lots of quality time around the pool, this is the place.

By the way, we don't usually eat three meals a day. We did here! They were all fantastic. Ditto the margaritas.
