Had nice piece of Barramundi which came with kippler potatoes, only problem they had been reheated. Revolting taste which spoilt the meal because the fish was really awesome. Other members of our party had potato mash which was really good, this would have been a better alternative.
Adding insult to injury we had to pay 10% surcharge as it was a public holiday. I won't be back there soon.
I told staff who checked with the chef who said the potatoes were partially cooked early, big mistake which killed the dish. .

We are sorry you did not enjoy your kipfler potatoes, but are pleased to say you are the only diner who has given negative feedback on them.
We discussed your fedback with our Head Chef. He has advised that in a restaurant situation you cannot cook these potatoes from raw for each meal as the wait time would be very long, and when you have alot of meals to create with not alot of time it is not possible.
The potatoes are actually partially cooked at the beginning of service each night and then finished off when cooking each meal.
I'm glad your friends enjoyed their mash, however our German chef introduced kipfler potatoes to some meals on our menu as he was tired of seeing only chips or mash on the majority of Stanthorpe menus.
Thanks once again. Any feedback is always helpful.
We have welcomed the change.
