This was the second time that I had stayed at this particular location. Last year, they were going through major renovations so I will forgive them for that. This year, I expected it to be fantastic. Boy, was I ever wrong. My original reservation was for 2 days and I needed to add another day. I called the hotel directly, spoke to a reservations agent and she assured me there would be "no problem." I e-mailed them a few days later (just to check) asking them to verify that I had 3 nights. They e-mailed me someone else's reservation. I called the hotel...again. I was told (again) that there would be "no problem." Guess what? When I arrived, they had my reservation...for 1 night. I explained the whole thing (again). This was getting tiresome. They assured me that I would have the room for 3 consecutive nights without having to check out and check back in. The first morning, there was a checkout invoice slipped under my door. Went down to the desk...again. "Oh, we're sorry. It was a mistake." I instructed them for about the 4th or 5th time that I would be paying for 3 rooms (for co-workers) with a company check upon checkout and NOT to charge my credit card. Well...checkout morning I found out that there were only 2 nights on the bill for my room because they had already CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD for the first night. I am not making this up...it took 30 minutes for them (yes, more than one employee) to figure out how they could put 3 rooms on one bill. I had to miss an entire session of my conference just to check out.

Other than that, the artwork in the room reminded me of a homicide and the lighting was terrible. I won't stay there again, even if the rest of the convention is - which if I have anything to say about it...will be at another hotel all together.

Check in went smoothly and we were pleased with the room...nothing spectacular but plenty of room and the bed was very comfortable so we had a good night's sleep in a clean room and that's what counts. The warm chocolate cookes are a nice touch. We booked via hotels.com and it wasn't the greatest price but found out there was a wrestling tournament that weekend so I'm sure that played in to the price. There is a Panera Bread right next door so that was convenient. There are plenty of other places very near by so the area it's in has plenty to offer as far as places to eat and shop. Would I stay again? Yes. There are other "name brand" places to stay nearby as well so I would go by price and if Doubletree was close I would definitely book there.

I stayed at this hotel on 12/27/07. I had a small dog with me, which was one reason I chose this hotel - they accept pets. The bad news is that they charge $50 for the privilege. The hotel has a very nice, very large lobby - unfortunately the room was small and cramped. Barely room to walk between the TV table and the beds. The TV reception, by the way, was terrible. This room had the smallest closet I've ever seen in a hotel/motel, chain/no chain, expensive/budget. Then there was the bathroom - it looked nice, but there were *no* towel racks. Towels had to be put on the counter top. Not a great system - not a system at all. So, summing up: $50 extra to bring along a dog (a Quality Inn the night before in Bedford PA charged $15), cramped quarters, lousy TV, tiny closet, no towel racks in the bathroom. But...they do give you a tasty cookie when you arrive. Will I ever stay at this Doubletree, or any other Doubletree? No. They seem to pride themselves on their "amenities", but they don't deliver on the basics. All sizzle and no steak.

Stayed at the Doubletree for a trade show being held at the hotel. Paid convention rate of $109. Room was above average with free internet service. In-room coffee maker had Wolfgang Puck coffee which was very, very good. Lots of restaurants within walking distance of hotel. One thing nice about Doubletree is the warm chocolate chip cookie you get when you check in! Cab ride from airport to hotel very expensive - $40 (before tip) - but no shuttle service is avaialble.

Did not eat in hotel restaurant - but ordered breakfast from room service which came quicklly.

All in all - a little above average. Would definitely stay here again.
