Had dinner one night here and the dining experience was nice, not great. The staff that waited on us was informed, helpful, and friendly. The food, overall, not as great.
The bread and dipping sauce was nice. The bread was fresh and warm, the oil based dipping sauce complimented the bread very well.
I ordered a chop salad and was disappointed with the freshness and flavor. The tomatoes were bland, the greens were typically bland lettuces. Even the feta cheese seemed to lack flavor.
The pasta dishes, fettuccine alfredo with shrimp and pasta with eggplant, were good, not great. The fettuccine alfredo came with shrimp, which itself was large and good, but the alfredo sauce was a bit a salty (from the shrimp?) and I didn't particularly like it very much. It wasn't displeasing, but I think I may enjoy it better with a reheating than fresh. The pasta with eggplant didn't have much eggplant in it. The pasta and sauce itself was very nice. The portions were plentiful.
The waiter hauled out the dessert options which was nice and we ordered the apple baked dish for dessert. This was the highlight of the meal. It came with vanilla gelato and was very delicious.
The interior decor was nice and open. Overall, it was a good dining experience, though a little bit pricey. With the plethora of dining options in the area, I probably would think twice before trying here again. It was by no means unpleasant, but there are just too many other places to go. The staff, the bread, and dessert were really good, but the salad and meals not as great. I'll probably give them one more go just to make certain.
