We stayed for a weekend for our wedding anniversary and the Beechwood was everything we wanted it to be. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxing but the staff and service were first class. We felt that nothing was too much trouble and we were truly treated as house guests.

The food is absolutely brilliant, cooked to order and varied to suit any dietary needs. Everything is fresh, the fruit platter at breakfast is as good at 9.45 as I'm sure it was at 8 am, if I'd have wanted to drag myself out of bed to see. There was a good choice of locally produced food.

The room was clean and well furnished and joy of joys the bed was comfortable.

The location is great for exploring all of Norfolk. It was well located for the broads as well as the coast, and although we didn't venture to Norwich on this trip it is certainly accessable.

Since returning I have been recommending the Beechwood to my friends and can't wait to return myself.

The Beechwood Hotel is by far the best hotel we have stayed in. We went for my wife's 30th Birthday and the experience was much better than we could have hoped for. The owners, Don and Lindsay, were very friendly and personable throughout the stay. All of the staff were friendly and professional throughout the stay and made us feel very welcome. The room - a half tester in the old building - was very spacious and traditionally furnished with a great eye for detail. In fact, decor throughout the hotel was luxurious but not in a stuffy, uncomfortable fashion.

Dinner - well food in general - amazing. The menu was brilliant and catered for every taste - all freshly cooked, the written word is an idea and the dish could be tailored to personal taste. The menu changed both nights and offered a great selection of meat and fish dishes - all sourced locally. Breakfast was as healthy or unhealthy as you want - full fresh fruit platters, yoghurt, cereal, full English or kippers / haddock - all divine!

We will return - without a doubt !!

We were looking for a relaxing break away over the August Bank holiday weekend and we were absolutely delighted with our choice.
The owners, Don & Lyndsay, are abolutely charming hosts. Within hours you feel like friends rather than paying guests. They are happy to share their knowledge of the local area, and their enthusiasm for the area is infectious.
The hotel is immaculate. The attention to detail is really outstanding. We had one of the four poster rooms on the ground floor. The bed was so comfortable we rarely woke before 9!
We stayed on the Dinner, Bed and breaksfast tariff which was good value. Food, courtesy of Stephen the chef, is first rate. The wine list is also well chosen and reasonably priced.
We had a lovely time and cannot wait to return. Thank-you for a great weekend.

My wife and I have just returned from a four night stay at this delightful hotel. We have nothing but praise for the owners and staff. The room (half tester) was very spacious & comfortable, and the en suite bathroom very large with bath & shower. The staff were extremely friendly and very keen to please. The dinner menu was varied and certainly to our taste. The food was well prepared and different from the normal. Breakfasts were adequate. During our stay, the weather was poor, but the friendlieness of the staff and other guests compensated for that. When we arrived after travelling four hundred miles from Scotland we were met at the door by one of the co-owners who gave us a tour of the hotel before carrying our case to our room. We received a complimentary cup of tea / coffee on our arrival. Much attention to detail was carried out by the staff throughout our stay. I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing place to stay whilst touring the area.

This is the second time we have stayed at the Beechwood and it was just as good as before. The garden rooms are big with comfy armchairs and four poster beds and fantastic bathrooms. The food is superb and the staff very welcoming and helpful. The owner's two airdales are lovely! We shall definitely be visiting again.
