My husband and I have stayed @ this Hotel on about Five occasions's, we have never been disappointed at any time. We have recommended this Hotel to many friends and even family, who have made repeat visits. Food is wonderful, with a varied menu each night. Some rooms are maybe tired but they are constantly improving them, but let's not forget this is a 3 star hotel in the heart of the forest. You can walk through the forest in 10minutes to Burley, which is a quaint village with everything you need. The indoor swimming pool and sauna could do with a little updating, but it's clean and good fun to use.

Staff are alway's attentive and friendly and nothings's too much trouble. I've stayed at numerous hotels in the forest including 4 star rating hotels, but our preferance is to stay here and enjoy total relaxation. Also it appears to be very family/older age group friendly.

In the worst British hotel tradition. Overpriced, badly run and filthy. Our room was replete with peeling wallpaper and a disgustingly dirty bathroom. The shower did not work and the corridors smelt of damp and mould. Management worse than useless and for all this they charge as much as a decent, business-class hotel in a British or American city centre. Avoid at all costs.
