Stayed here for about six weeks from October thru November. It's an old fashioned B&B and you get what you pay for. He had Room No. 1, which came with a separate bathroom. Everything was clean and the bedroom was well furnished and comfortable. No problems with the landlady at all. Found her to be perfectly pleasant and accommodating. If you're expecting the Ritz, better to avoid. Yes, there is quite a lot of memorabilia, but this is themed and has been collected over many years. The building is very old and the stairs steep, so probably not good for people with mobility problems. The landlady does allow smoking in the rooms, which is good news for smokers, though she is very mindful of non-smokers and it is on the proviso that the door is kept closed and the window open. If you're after a reasonable B&B right on the seafront in Margate then it's a very good base from which to explore. No hesitation about staying there again.
