Friends recommended this place to us and we had such a good time. We only stayed the one night, but will go back for a longer stay. It was a Friday, which means they had a band playing (amazingly from Mozambique!), and a quick run upstairs for a change of clothes confirmed that noise does travel, but who cares, they had warned us when we booked and it was all done by midnight as promised.
It is such a friendly place, the staff were just lovely, particularly the woman that showed us to our room (Ally? with the greenest eyes I've ever seen) and Tony who cooked us a fantastic breakfast (the best bacon I've had in years).
So genuinely friendly, warm and helpful even when clearly very busy.
The room was fine, clean and airy, bed comfy, shower a bit feeble but really a minor quibble. We paid £80 for the night.
If you want a fun weekend and don't mind a bit of noise, give this place a try. I just wish we had a pub like this near us.
