The purpose of our stay was to break up our journey home to Oldham from Devon. We stayed at an hotel for one night on the way down. Whist leaving Clevedon we called in here to have a look at what was on offer. The owner took time out to show us a couple of Lodges. We were quite impressed at the size, clealnliness and location, the lodges being in substantial grounds with fishing lake. Parking outside your lodge (which can be a bit of a problem elsewhere in Clevedon). Fridge in your room (the lodge we stayed in consisted of two rooms, bathroom and bedroom), wide screen TV plus table and two chairs. All this for £46 a night. we stayed an extra night, visiting Weston Super Mare which is 10 miles away. Also Clevedon which is a really nice Victorian resort. We dined in the restaurant on site, which we expected to be really expensive, but was quite reasonable. Tesco's is about ten minutes walk away, so is handy for snacks etc.
Well recommended for either a short stay or as an alternative to an hotel in Weston (we heard a recently arrived guest at an hotel in Weston (The York) asking about parking being told "we have an arrangement with the hotel next door - you can park there for £8 per twenty four hours" I bet they neglected to mention that on taking the booking!
