We have been to Harlaston around June over the last three or four years now, and we always have an evening meal in the pub. We have considered trying pubs in the neighbouring villages. But the food is always so good at the White Lion, and the landlady and staff so helpful and accommodating, that we end up going back there. Lovely place.

I have visited the White Lion numerous times and am always of the same opinion. The food is beautiful, lovely home cooked dishes with lovely presentation, and the desserts are yummy! Plenty of choice without lots to bombard you with.
The service has always been very friendly and helpful, but have found it to be slow, either when dining in a bigger group (of 8, around the lovely round table with benches) or as a couple. I appreciate you have to wait for home cooked food but on occaion it has been a bit too long for comfort. I would also appreciate a menu given out, as the choices are written on a blackboard which can be hard to read, particually for my Grandma who found it a little embarrassing having to be read the menu.
However, this is not to detract from the lovely food and surroundings, and as i have mentioned I have been back many times and will continue to do so.
