“Highly recommended”

Kingston Lodge Hotel

29 Apr 2008

A lovely hotel, i stayed on business, however would recommend for pleasure also. Very friendly and couldn't do enough to provide excellent service. Particuarly worth a mention is their flexibility - you can have a meal from any menu and eat anywhere. Larger hotels need to take note!

“Improving”

Kingston Lodge Hotel

10 Oct 2007

I have stayed at this hotel before when it was part of the Swallow group. It has now been taken over by Brooks and has definitely improved. It is still the chintzy decor, shabby in places but much cleaner. Overall better run with comfortable rooms and decent enough breakfast. Rooms on Kingston hill can be noisy when the early morning rush hour builds up.

    • Disliked — Stairs and corridors - a real labyrinth

“dont count on breakfast”

Kingston Lodge Hotel

hotel was in good location and the rooms where pleasant enough. the down fall is the resturant service and bar service. no one seems to man the bar and as for breakfast you will be lucky if you get one. just like faulty towers no tables cleared no hot breakfast prepared everything hap hazard . no one takes responsibility and when customers complained no one bothered in fact its as if your lying as no one takes any notice.i was told at half past eleven all the breakfast was now there as if you would want one when you wanted breakfast at nine. therefore my rating would be two out of ten.

“Quite nice, really”

Kingston Lodge Hotel

19 Jul 2007

I've stayed here a couple of times now on business and the Kingston Lodge has always been reasonably good. It's got everything you need for a few nights away with work or on a leisure break, as there are plenty of attractions nearby and is conveniently situated for Kingston, Richmond, Hampton Park, Teddington areas. Plenty of parking, a cosy bar, food available most times of the times - bar, restaurant and room service. Bedrooms are very comfortable, with all the things you'd expect for the price. Service can be slow, partiularly at check-out etc, I nearly gave up paying for some bar food and asked for it to be added to my bill, which I think they forgot! Read other postings here about inaccurate credit-card billing, so beware. Lots of very friendly staff, who are eager to please - but many had problems mastering the language, which I think contributes to most of the problems!
