Visited the Dunn Cow this evening 14 th June 2012 with the family for an early Fathers day meal,my daughter had phoned in the early afternoon to book a table but was told you could not book tables in the week! Upon arrival we found most tables for four or more people reserved .We found a table in the bar area and selected our main course, tables in the bar area are not served by waitresses although the food is the same price. We duly ordered our meals from the bar and were served after a reasonable wait the food was acceptable and we enjoyed the food. We had to scramble for cutlery, pinching it from other vacant tables, only two of us had a serviette as couldnt be bothered to pinch any more things from neighbouring tables.Sweets were duly ordered although we waited in vain for our dirty plates to be cleared. In the end we shifted them to a neighbouring table, we noticed none of the tables in the bar area had been cleared of glasses or plates during our stay. My son paid the bill and declined to wait any longer for the sweets as we had waited half an hour .In our opinion the Dunn Cow has deteriorated recently ,which is sad as I have visited the pub on many occasions and always enjoyed the experience,we feel the problem could be easily rectified by employing more waiting and bar staff.
