After booking this trip, I read others' reveiws. They all stated that the sites were crowded, with little room per site, too much light polution from nearby businessess (one side borders a car lot) and the trains ran very closeby constantly. They were dead-on. Our sites, thankfully, were not that bad, but some sites would have been completely unacceptable to us. Some sites had almost no grass, literally enough room for their picnic table to sit on with asphalt access road on either side, and that was all. Some sites were directly under bright lighting from nearby businesses, and if the park was anywhere near capacity there would be severe overcrowding.
We stayed in G-1 a two bedroom park model. The road was just on the other side of the fence, (30 feet from a bedroom) and the train track was only a few feet beyond the highway. The trailer was acceptable; clean and everything we needed was there. Beds were very very uncomfortable though; its pretty sad when the most comfortable bed is the futon!. As for the noise, we put the kids in the bedroom nearest the traffic/train noise (they can sleep through anything). The common areas (pool, playground, jumping pillow) were well-kept and the shower house we used was very clean. As it turned out, we had a great time. There was plenty to do with the kids. Cedar Point was only a few minutes away and one day we ended up just hanging out by the pool. Overall it worked out ok for us, but could have been a complete disaster.
