I stayed at the Courtyard Northwest on a business trip last week, and I was disappointed. It did not live up to the standard of much nicer Courtyards at which I have stayed. Upon arrival, the gentleman with whom I spoke was nice enough, although it seemed as though I was an interruption to the conversation he was having with the other person at the counter. When I went up to my room, the bathroom had obviously not been cleaned. The whole room was overwhelmingly pink, with worn-through curtains and bedspread. The bed was as hard as a rock, and the extra pillow had hair all over it. After taking care of the cleanliness issues (with which the hotel didn't seem to concerned), I went down for a swim. The pool area was nice, but it felt like I was on display as the pool is right off the lobby, separated by a glass wall. I also discovered that the back door to the hotel was propped open so that just anyone could walk in. Overall, there are issues with this particular hotel that need to be resolved: customer service, cleanliness, and security. I will not stay there again - I have stayed at Comfort Inns that are much nicer, and much less expensive.
