Hotel is not bad, just not as great as it used to be. The earlier reviews by the 2 other posters were dead on the money for the time.
But time hasn't been kind to this place. I've stayed approximately 10 nights in the past 5 years at this hotel - some business travel, but mostly leisure travel.
Location is great - plenty of food options near and also options nearby to fit any palate, as well if you need a place to stay before an early morning flight. Breakfast buffet could be better - though I am not expecting a gourmet experience, the breakfast items could be a little more fresher.
Hotel doesn't have internet access, unless you have a laptop handy.
Staff is attentive and any issues I've had were always addressed well and fast. Besides the location, they are the best asset the hotel has.
Have never had issues with room cleanliness or of the rooms themselves having any issues. But the rooms are getting a little worn - mostly in the carpets, the bed spreads, and in the stairwell interior. It's nothing unbearable, just be aware that the hotel may need to address this issue sometime soon.
That being said, I hope the recent rate increase from $66 to $71 for a typical room is a sign that management is going to go ahead and reinvest in the building and its assets, rather then just a grab for extra bucks.
