“Convenient and Reasonable”

Baymont Inn Oklahoma City South

Very convenient location for this trip on I35 close to downtown. Its obviously a former La Quinta and actually if it wasn't for the signage from the rooms and lobby you could have thought you were in a La Quinta - cleanliness, furnishings, good breakfast etc. For a $20/30 differential I'll stay here thank you. Surprisingly quiet given location. Hadn't thought about trying Priceline I really wanted I35 access but got a good rate in any event. I could see where at their price level for this location there might be some 'interesting' guests but we didn't have any issues during our stay. Front desk staff very friendly.

“First hotel that made me feel afraid”

We stayed at the Baymont at the end of a cross-country move. First, the hotel (actually a motel) is off a service road next to an abandoned restaurant and is not in the best part of town. There are no restaruants nearby and thankfully, Papa Johns delivers.
My husband went in to check in. The clerk made an imprint of his credit card, walked away for a second and "lost it." She asked to make a second imprint, which did not make us feel good. We didn't like a copy of his card wandering around. As he checked in, I watched as a fellow guest stood in the parking lot, popped some pills, and then began to shoot birds in the tree with a sling shot. As my husband and I grabbed our baggage out of our car, a guest on an upper balcony commented on all the "nice stuff" we had in our moving truck and mini van, which made us feel that all our life possessions would be gone in the morning. As we walked to our room, we passed three groups of people sitting outside of the rooms and by the pool drinking, most intoxicated. We checked into the room, which is the smallest hotel room I've ever stayed in. The doors are on the exterior and the keys were not the electronic, reprogrammable type that make you feel more secure. The keys were old. The door frame was bent, like it had been kicked in before. The room was infested with flies. The shower was dark and dreary. The towels were thin. The air conditioner didn't work. Half the lamps didn't work. Needless to say, I didn't sleep soundly. We got up in the morning to a horrible continental breakfast, but all of our belongings, thankfully, were safe and sound.

“Not bad at all! Reasonable and neat.”

Very reasonable price, neat and clean, and the staff was very friendly. Location was in a good central location with the Crossroads Mall just down the street. I would definately recommend this to anyone needing a reasonably priced, clean, and quiet place to stay in OKC.

“Another Pleased Priceline Customer”

Baymont Inn Oklahoma City South

19 Sep 2006

I received the Baymont for a bid of $40 on Priceline, altho I noticed other bidders had gotten this property for as low as $32!

This hotel is conveniently located directly off I-35 (exit 121A if you're going south) There weren't many other guests staying here, nor does there seem to be many restaurants nearby, but the front desk provided me with the phone numbers for pizza and chinese delivery.

The rooms have outside entrances, so if you get a room on the second floor you must drag all your stuff up a flight of stairs. It's a rather large property with plenty of rooms so chances are good you can get a ground floor room.

The rooms themselves are large enough, and look newly remodled (as of Sept '06). The furnishing look is hotel cheesy, but cheerful and bright and not yet shabby. High speed internet is available.

All in all, it's a good Priceline deal.

Considering the deal I got through PriceLine this was a heck of a deal... The hotel is under renovation right now. Front Desk is friendly and the continential breakfast is pretty good. Wireless internet did not work and according to LQ Tech support and the front desk, it's been down for the past 3 weeks. Pool is small but great for the little ones. It is cleaned daily before it opens at 9am.
