When we booked our stay at Cultus Lake, we had no idea it would be the beginning of a new family tradition. We stayed in cabin #1, which sleeps 6, but our family of four fit comfortably. The cabin has a small kitchen, bathroom, a bedroom with a bunk bed and a double bed, and a living area with a sleeper sofa and a fireplace. The cabin also had a fire ring and a picnic table outside. The cabin is definitely rustic, with minimalistic furnishings and concrete floors. After staying there for a week, however, I can attest to the fact that more is not necessary. The lake is amazing, the people are super friendly, and the atmosphere is one of family. People love it at Cultus Lake so much that they rarely have openings. Out of all of the cabins, only one was not re-reserved for next year by 9am on checkout day. As a result, the same families tend to stay every year at the same time, which is a bonus because our kids will be able see the friends they made next year.
During our stay the resort hosted movie night under the stars, and they have all you can eat rib dinners in the restaurant on Fridays and Saturdays- the ribs were great! They rent paddle boats, kayaks, canoes, motorboats, and a pontoon boat from the resort. We rented the pontoon boat for a day, and enjoyed the beautiful lake as a family. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone who's looking to get away from the rush of daily life. No televisions, no phones, and no wi-fi... And barely any cell service. It was a much needed break for us, and we plan on going back every year as long as we can manage it.
Cabins 1-10 are all the same and all great for a family of 4-6
