old style motel with all entrys to the rooms from the outside--could be tricky with snow falling

clean room and a nice size --- just stayed for one nite

the contl breakfast was much more then that with juices- cereals- bagels- toast--english muffins --and waffles

would stay there again

At first glance it looked like an average a little hotel. But that was not the case. When I walked in the room I was amazed by how different it was inside and it was a good thing. I could tell they were just getting situated into this place especially when the new Red Lion sign was put up the 2nd night i stayed there. The rooms are very roomy & comfortable. The Black Bear Diner is across the parking lot from the hotel and they have huge portions and great food. The only concern i had was that our maid did not change our bed sheets even though they were dirty. When we went for the continental breakfast there was a hotel employee kept watch over the food to see how much everyone was taking and I thought that was done in pour taste.

Upon check-in, we were barely greeted with a hello. We had booked our room until Saturday, but when we checked in we found that the staff had us staying only until Friday. We advised them of this and they said they would correct this error. Later on Friday morning they still had us checking out on this day. Upon talking to the staff about this they acted as if it were our mistake. We also paid cash for the first three nights, but the staff authorized all four nights on our credit card. Even though they still had not changed our checkout date from Friday to Saturday. The room was average and the cleaning staff were friendly, but we definitely would not stay at this hotel again due to the incompetence and unfriendliness of some of the front desk staff.

We were very happy with this hotel. Nice updated furniture and very comfortable beds. The breakfast was very nice with waffles and cheese, sausage, egg burritos besides the usual cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. There were tables and chairs next door to the food in the lobby. Overall very satisfied and would definitely stay again.
