The room I booked was quite nice, with updated furniture, fixtures, etc. But the wireless Internet wasn't working, & the desk clerk wasn't very knowledgable (she suggested re-starting my computer). A call to their ISP's tech support number confirmed a problem--they attempted remote management fixes but after 15 minutes it still didn't work and I hadn't unpacked yet, so I left and checked into the Comfort Inn and Suites instead, where they have both wired and wireless Internet in the rooms.

We found out we had to have our daughter in Bend on the early morning of the 14th of July, last minute. So the only available hotel was the Red Lion Inn North. When we drove into the parking lot I was apprehensive due to the obvious age of the place.....60's-70's looking. The front desk told us that our reserved room had a pipe break and that we would be relocated at no additional cost to a handicap room, which she said was an upgrade to our 2Queen/nonsmoking regular room.(89.00) As we were talking to the front desk, a walk in arrived and was told they were at full vacancy. We went to our ground floor room and was shocked on entry at the size of the room, it must have been 500+ sq. ft. It had a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, HUGE HUGE bathroom, 2 Queen beds, etc. My only gripe...the air conditioning unit was located under the sink in the bathroom. Which made it not so good when someone used the bathroom...and I mean REALLY used the bathroom. We had to prop the bathroom door open to get the much needed cold air into the room. Other than that, it was great. Very clean, extra towels, decent pool, adequate parking. Was somewhat noisy with people coming and going during the night. But...it is a hotel...lol

My wife and I stay here for 4 nights as we celebrated our 35th anniversary. There were many positives: good location, quiet room, good maid service, substantial breakfast. Negatives were a room that never did cool down that well (since it was quiet we stayed put), a slow action toaster that made fixing the waffles an event (it like took forever), and a nice spa with water jets that seemed tired and old. Conversations with other guests indicated these issued had been brought up with the staff but it was just that way and was going to stay that way. I feel this motel would be very acceptable if some of these issues were addressed and corrected. When I mentioned the cooling issue as we checked out, the comment was made that the weather had just turned hot and now they were able to see what rooms were having cooling issues (?). I guess to me as a guest a more proactive approach would have been appreciated. Bend is a great place to visit but we will probable seek another spot next time.

We arrived around 7:00 at night July 15 2005 it was 97 degrees! Went into motel with kids,didn't have bathtub!,Got a different room upstairs had to pack up everything and go upstairs. Than the air conditioning didn't work! My familly got very little sleep! The place was dirty! My little boy had dirt all over him from crawling! They only offered a 10 percent discount!!!!!!! Their was only one girl working, had to wait a long time to get anything! I dont recomend this motel for anyone! Over 100.000 a night you think you would get treated better than that!
