We just wanted to get off the road and out of the rain so we stopped at the first exit with lodging. The rate was right, so we thought, "Okay, one more night in a hotel room won't kill us." Wow, were we in for a surprise when we went into our room. It was beautiful, and all of the sudden our attitudes completely changed to, "Yes, one more night of vacation!" We were on the 3rd floor, near the elevator and it was SO quiet. I have never stayed somewhere so quiet. It was a Saturday night and the parking lot was full, but it felt like we were the only people in the hotel. The room was incredible for the price, and I was pleased with the breakfast (especially the breakfast attendant who didn't let anything come close to running out amidst the ravenous crowd and never let a single crumb escape her immediate attention. Seriously, give that woman a raise.) The pool and spa were standard, but I was impressed to see the water being tested while we were having an evening swim. As a certified pool operator, I usually steer clear of hotel pools because the are over chlorinated and improperly maintained, but the water quality was great. The whole place was clean and nice and I am so glad we had a great final night of our vacation there.
