We stayed four nights at the Old Parkdale Inn for our daughter's wedding at nearby Mt. Hood, and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience. Mary and Tilly (her canine assistant) made us feel right at home -- the food was awesome and the accommodations very comfortable.

I loved the architecture of the old home, the beautiful gardens, and the views of Mt. Hood -- but Mary herself made it the most memorable. She was even gracious enough to help me with special preparations for the wedding.

We'll certainly be visiting the Old Parkdale Inn again in the near future.

The Old Parkdale Inn was perfect for me. It is nestled in a quiet rural town and has a great view of majestic Mt. Hood. Old Parkdale Inn is an elegant craftsman style home that has a rich history (ask Mary and Steve, the wonderfully informative hosts).

My room was the Gaughin Room, decorated in a bright, wonderful theme to commemorate the famous French impressionist painter. The bed is so comfortable I didn't want to leave it! A private deck gives the impression you are in a tree house overlooking the beautiful garden. Amenities in this room are great: private bath, fridge stocked with beverages, microwave, TV/DVD, many books, etc.

Feeling pet-deprived during your travels? Tilly, the inn's Swiss Mountain Dog, will take you for a walk.

I was toured through the other two rooms, also named after famous painters, Claude Monet and Georgia O'Keefe. They are beautiful suites with a full kitchen and sumptuous-looking beds.

Now, on to the breakfast! Seated at a great wooden table, I was served coffee, juice, home made jams, a scone and waffles so good they should be patented! It all looked almost too good to eat.

Although I was by myself this time, I would love to return here with my family. The Old Parkdale Inn is kid-friendly and pet-friendly and they are close to local hiking and ski areas. We could have a great family vacation here.

“Inkeeper Who Aims To Please”

Mary, the proprietor of this B&B, makes an obvious effort to please her guests. The rooms were comfortable, with amenities not always found in such establishments, such as a variety of complimentary drinks and snacks. She is very gregarious, which may not be to everyone's liking, but seems to be a genuinely nice person willing to take time to help with information and other needs. She obviously takes great pride in her breakfasts, which are imaginative and for the most part quite tasty. The town of Parkdale has little to recommend it, other than a homey brew pub with good food and beer, but it's only about a 20 minute drive to Mt. Hood and other recreational areas.

This is the second year I've stayed at the Old Parkdale Inn, and both times have been Fantastic. Mary is incredibly nice and very hospitable and makes the world's best breakfasts. It is about 20 minutes away from Mt. Hood, has great access to skiing and hiking. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen is fully equiped for preparing snacks and meals.

My sisters and I stayed here for our first ever Sisters Weekend. The rooms were very comfortable, decorated in a fun artsy way, and came complete with a little kitchen lovingly stocked with some snacks, movies to watch, private bath, and comfortable beds. The location is great, and the views are wonderful. We walked down the block to a little pub for dinner and discovered they were having movie nite! The best part is the lovely dining room and the breakfasts. Mary takes great pride in her food and uses local fruit and products to showcase the area. Both meals were scrumptious to eat and beautiful to look at. Portions were just right with more available if needed. We felt pampered and at home. I had never stayed in a B&B before, and never really wanted to. I was aprehensive about the visit, but left hoping we could make this an annual trip. Mary~you made this trip a real blessing to us...Thank you.
