This resort does not do its self justice on its website or with the lobby.

On my search to find a resort at the coast for my recent wedding, I looked at their website and decided this place was a NO. I planned to visit another location in Yachats and while driving by the Adobe decided "what the heck, i am here" . So I stopped in and boy, did their service win me over. With out a scheduled appt. I was amazed that the asst mngr spent more than an hour with me.

The lobby is need of remodeling. But the regular rooms are great, the restaurant has great taste and great prices, the staff is amazing.

I could not have imagined a better resort for our wedding. The bluff works great for outdoor weddings! Although, the weather doesn't always work out. Just 20 minutes before our ceremony, we had to change the venue to inside. But it was still beautiful. I posted pics if you would like to see. Also, the rocks and logs make awesome back drops for photos!

I will say on the down side, the pet rooms are out dated and in another building. But that makes sense, no pets to worry about allergies in the main building and in case the pet has an accident in side, its not on brand new furniture. It is not a far walk to the main building, maybe 40 or 50 feet.

Please feel free to email me with questions!

If you call being put in the annexed pet building away from the main lodge "pet-friendly" then I guess it is. Maybe I'm being too harsh, but we were really disappointed in the accomodations. Yes, it was clean, but clearly since we have a small dog we were given a second-class room. I understood from a friend that the rooms in the main building are very nice and cozy with fireplaces and some with jacuzzi's. I knew up front after trying to reserve a jacuzzi room that because we had a pet we weren't allowed in that type of room, but I was assured that the room where we would be was nice also. I wasn't told it was in a completely separate building where you have to get out in the weather to go to the restaurant or pool in the main building. The pet building is obviously where the old furniture from the main building is used and the rooms are extremely plain with no wall hangings.

The view wasn't that great either since the pet building is tilted away from the ocean.

The restaurant and bar area are very nice as is the pool area. The service in the restaurant was excellent, the food average.

Overall, we were just disappointed as this was our Christmas get-away and we had hoped for more.

My husband and I were on a trip up the coast of Oregon returning home and stopped at the Adobe, first we were quite surprised the room was a little over 100.00 with an ocean view, then when we saw the room we were again surprised at how large and wonderful the room was we were on the 2nd floor and listened to the waves all night. We loved the fireplace and the sofa, chairs and table were comfortable and in very good condition. The value is great as we spent more money on hotels on our trip and didn't have one as nice. The beds are great and I have a bad back so I was very happy with it. We only stayed one night but thought the staff and the town both very friendly. We came home and told all our friends and after looking on the website and one of them actually going to check out the resort a few of them are staying there on their next vacation. Next June my husband and I are returning for 4 days of relaxation and we can't wait.

We paid a similar rate to area two star hotels. When we walked in the lobby we were a bit worried that we had walked into an old folks home. The wood paneling and front desk attire reminded us of an older generation chic. To our pleasant surprise the room was large and tastefully decorated. The pool was large and the kids had a great time. Good place to hang our hat on a rainy OR day.

I was very pleased with my accommodations at the Adobe. I heard about the resort on the radio and booked an oceanside room for only $106. The resort is right on a lovely rocky beach. I could watch the waves and listen to the soothing sound of the water from my room. The tidepools are lit up in the evening so guests can enjoy the view.

The decor was lovely - I would describe it as contemporary southwestern. I ate dinner at the restaurant inside the hotel and enjoyed the sunset from my table. No continental breakfast is provided. There were only small problems with my room such as no decaf coffee, a faulty lightbulb and loose moulding in the bathroom. For the most part, however, it looks like the employees and owners are trying to maintain a quality establishment.

I love that Yachats is quiet and not a crowded tourist coastal town. The Adobe is a nice place to relax and enjoy the ocean. I think it would be ideal for a romantic getaway. I took a long walk on the paved trail by the water. I’d give the property 4 and 1/2 stars because the location is unsurpassed.
