“A little Gem”

Trerosewill Farmhouse

23 Jun 2007

We are half way through our degree courses and decided to treat ourselves to a little break and stumbled across Trerosewill's web site. The wonderful photography and tempted us and so we booked a romantic break in their new suite Valency.

From the minute we arrived we felt at home. Nothing was too much trouble. The welcome with homemade cake and tea. The beautiful flowers, local handmade chocolates, fresh fruit, Cornish "Champagne" all to the highest standard.

The breakfast the next morning was wonderful from the homemade yogur t the jam, marmalade and bread. We were planning to take the bus to Crackington Haven but Steve offered a lift and would not take any money to cover the petrol.

Cheryl packed us off with sandwiches made with their pork and her bread. Homemade lemon cake and fruit. We ate it overlooking the sea with the birds flying overhead, magical.

Back that evening to the Hot Tub with the stars shining, drinking our champange, bliss.

Second day, Cornish sunshine! Where to go. Someone had thoughtfully spent hours preparing a wet weather book and both Nikki and Cheryl spent ages answering everyones endless questions.

Wet through we return and give Cheryl our boots and coats to dry and notice we are not the only ones!

We would recommend this to anyone who value good old fashion service,
attention to detail, peace, quiet and above all a family home. Steve & Cheryl are friendly, helpful and will go that extra mile to make you feel at home as we found out.

“Great Breakfast”

Trerosewill Farmhouse

10 Apr 2007

Fabulous breakfasts, lovely views as it is on top of a big hill, walking distance to great pub (Napolean Inn). Big, clean room (though we did book the nicest room in the place so can't speak for other rooms). Owners friendly and accomodating. Good value for money but the town is sleepy and has lots of steep hills.

“Unwelcoming!”

Unwelcoming for families! Booked to stay here June they advertise as offering 'babysitting and listening service' and 'price reduction for children' but when we arrived with our baby they wouldn't let us stay. Also they wouldn't give us our deposit back and we had to find alternative accomodation. However The Anchorage in Port Isaac is fantastic, with better views and very welcoming!

“fantastic”

stayed here when accompanying a friend on a working holiday. changed my view of b and b accomodation. lovely warm welcome - without feeling too intrusive - fantastic setting - rooms and extra touches of high quality - ie shampoo's, soaps, dressing gowns - would definatley return. view from farmhouse is amazing - yet still a 10 min walk to nearest pub - getting the best of both worlds - being isolated - yet a short walk into village.
