This was a timeshare exchange in March of 2011. My husband and I and two friends stayed at Clowance for one week. Our apartment was a Golf View (Unit 83) which, as the name suggests, overlooked the golf course. The apartment was spacious with 2 large bedrooms, one double and one twin. The double bedroom had an on-suite bathroom. The lounge/kitchen/dining areas were open plan with plenty of seating for four people and there was a balcony with seating (which was the only place we could get a mobile signal!). The decor was a little tired, but this is expected in the older timeshares. The resort had a swimming pool and gym area, neither of which we tried, and we are not golfers so I can’t comment on the golf course. The reception was very helpful and we had a lovely meal in the restaurant on our last night. We love Cornwall at this time of year as, if the weather is kind, it is lovely and quite. Cornwall in the summer is brimming over with tourists and the narrow roads can be a nightmare. We much prefer Cornwall out of season. Clowance is an ideal jumping off point for loads of interesting places to visit. Our hi-lights included, St. Michael’s Mount, Boscastle and Tintagel (very steep so not for the unfit), Padstow (best pasty ever and a lovely walk), Bedruthan Steps (once again very steep), St. Ives, Mynach Theatre (wonderful views), Falmouth (Rick Stein’s Fish and Chips – good value for money). All in all I would recommend this resort.
