We stayed two nights in the Rashleigh Suite, a huge room with an enormous four poster bed made of English oak it was rather too comfortable and we were slightly late down to breakfast which is served in the conservatory. We had smoked salmon and scrambled egg on both days as it was so good. Weather was mixed at the time and it was at the end of the swimming pool season, but we did use the hot tub next to the pool and that was great with our bottle of wine. Nanscawen is in a rural location up a long drives which is lined with trees. There is plenty of parking, it's a couple of miles to decent restaurants. We didn't mind this as it was so quite for sleeping with no passing traffic just the odd hoot from an owl!
A very pleasant stay and would highly recommend it.
