We were so lucky to have found this gem of a hotel. When we checked in we were upgraded to a beautiful room - so, so comfortable. The food is amazing and the wonderful staff can't do enough for us. We actually booked an extra night because we felt so at home. Will definitely be back as a great base for touring by bus and train. Great to be able to leave the car in the hotel's car park just over the road. Thank you guys for a fantastic stay & the Disserano sours are to die for

A nice and warm welcome from the receptionist, told me all I needed to know and gave me a personal welcome letter which is a first from anywhere else I've stayed. Was shown to my room which was clean and spacious, the bed was very comfortable had a good night sleep. The shower was good and excellent wifi in the room
The evening meal was excellent with a good choice menu at reasonable prices and a friendly service.
Only a couple a down points, first a very small carpark first come first served ( next to it is a huge carpark £4 for 24hrs) and the other is breakfast service was slow but had a excellent menu and lots on offer.

St. Austell is a small village with not much to do except visiting the tourist attractions around. So the White Hart ist probably one of the best places to stay. Just in the center of town and a 5 minutes walk to the train station. It belongs to the St Austell Brewery and they have a good concept of modernized hotels in old buildings combined with a pub and restaurant. In fact you don’t have to leave the house to feel like home. The room was spacious and comfortable. The food in the restaurant was delicious. The staff was excellent, entertaining and very professional especially the waiters!

When we arrived late in the afternoon we were very concerned to see that we had booked a room at a "pub" and a jazz singer was in fill swing. Once settled in our room we realised we couldn't hear any noise at all from below. The room was large and airy, very clean and the beds comfortable. We had arrived just as the kitchen closed but they still managed to russle up some food for us. The staff were excellent and couldn't have been more helpful. Upon imspextion in the morning we realised the 'pub' was actually a modern, well presented bar.

I had the good fortune to stay at the White Hart last week and was delighted with the Hotel, Staff and Food.
I understand that the hotel has had a recent refurbishment and it has been very tastefully completed. All the public areas were clean and decorated to a high standard. The room I was in was lovely and very comfortable.
I stayed for evening meal and was impressed at the range of menu and the quality of the food. The waiting staff were engaging and went out of their way to make sure everything was to my liking.
I would recommend the White Hart to anyone wishing to explore the delights of Cornwall.
