Hotel is indeed a nice place, but has it's ups and downs.
We took our daughter to see DIsney on Ice at the Consol Energy Center, and this was indeed right next door, so the location was our determining factor, to avoid parking at the venue, traffic, etc.
We arrived the night before and check in was a breeze. They advised us where their lot was, (around back, NOT in the ramp) so we quickly moved the vehicle. The nights of events, however, the hotel rents out parking spaces, and we were nearly left without one after shopping in the city. It was close. ONE spot left in entire lot - happened twice. Hotel needs to monitor this a lot more closely to ensure that PAYING HOTEL GUESTS have a spot in the lot; maybe even designate certain areas of the lot for rental and certain for guests.
Forgot contact solution. Little store inside hotel didn't have any. Oops.
Dinner for the first evening - we decided to stay in the hotel and order. WHAT A MISTAKE. Waited nearly an hour for two sandwiches and a peanut butter and jelly for the little one. Food was COLD and bad. My daughter's bread was SO hard, I literally knocked on it. I sent it back, (I NEVER do this, but it was indeed that bad) and it came out 15 minutes later somewhat better. (15 minutes to make a PB & J? Seriously?) No apology. Still charged us for it. BAD.
Breakfast - decided to try again in the hotel, as the little one was "HUUUNNNGRY". This was a much better experience. Fast, friendly, although pricey. Waiter was more than nice. Much better experience.
The room in general was not a suite. It was a living room and a bedroom separated by a small wall. (Read this in previous reviews.) Bed was wonderful, pillows great.
Phone in bedroom area did not work.
We pulled out the sleeper soft for all of us to watch tv and snack at the end of the night, and even my two year old, who will sleep on a hard floor said, "Mommy - hurts!" I feel terrible for anyone who would ever have to sleep on that thing! Springs everywhere. AWFUL.
The bathroom - very modern. Weird, however. Shower was just that - but had NO door. It was like a half of a shower door in place near the stream of water, but no closure. Water gets everywhere. No way to bathe little ones. Had to give her a shower. Hard to do.
Sink very nice. WAY too high for little ones to reach.
The pool - TINY and literally freezing. We were in and out in 10 minutes. My daughter's lips were blue! Hot tub, small but nice.
Would we stay again? If we were visiting Consol Energy Center, yes. If not, no.
Higher floors seem quieter. If a pool is important to you, look elsewhere.
