We recently visited Lancaster PA and, while visiting the outlets, decided to get some dinner. We saw a sign for Good N Plenty so decided to check it out. We walked into a nicely furnished Amish-style building and paid $18 per person for our meal tickets. We were directed to the Dutch room and were seated at a twelve person table. I'm familiar with family-style dining and, while it's not my favorite, I was looking forward to some good food.
The experience turned south from here. The butter, apple butter and cottage cheese were accessible via cheap plastic spoons. The played a few pieces of white and wheat bread fresh from a bag of bread from a local grocery store. The table was already stocked with applesauce and coleslaw. We had the unfortunate experience of seeing the employees churning together the coleslaw in a gross-looking bucket and carrying said bucket through the restaurant. Needless to say, we didn't have any.
Dinner consisted of roast beef, "ham loaf", buttered noodles, corn, peas, and mashed potatoes (tasted like store bought). The ham loaf tasted poorly and was not well received by any of the people at the table (8 of them were not with my party). The roast beef had a consistent look to it and looked heavly processed.
Desert consisted of cherry jello (JELLO!), shoefly pie, apple crump pie and a scoop of ice cream.
Overall, the meal was incredibly dissappointing but made worse by the fact that we paid $18 per head. I would highly recommend avoiding this restaurant and saving your money for a better local establishment.
