while wandering the Endless Mountains of PA, we decided to spend the night in Towanda. Our GPS found us this B&B & led us there. It is a lovely old Inn situated on the river in the center of the town. We had a small, comfortable room near the front door. Nearby was a vintage lounge where we were able to enjoy our late night coffee (provided in the nearby kitchen), as well as tasty cookies, which always seemed to be available. We were greeted by a very friendly hostess, who cheerfully gave us whatever help we needed. The neighborhood was quiet, so we were afforded a restful night. Breakfast was available from 6 AM until 10. We were perhaps the last to arrive at 8:45, and a hostess was there to fix eggs & sausage for us. Yogurt & hard-boiled eggs were in the refrigerator, and numerous items for a cold breakfast were laid out. Home-made jam was available (and very good). Everyone we met working there was friendly and enthusiastic. We would gladly go back in the future. Across the street was a beautiful river walk, & the delight of the evening there was to see the full moon coming up over the river & ridge behind. This spur-of-the-moment visit netted us a delightful stay!
