I just returned from a wonderful 3 night stay at the Old Point Inn in Beaufort, SC and I cannot say enough good things about the property!

I was born in Beaufort and the graciousness and warm welcome I received at the Old Point Inn by Paul and Julie made the trip all that more special.

This isn't the most fancy place in town, thats true, but its certainly among the most comfortable, immaculately clean, and thoroughly well run inns in the Beaufort area. In my opinion its also one of if not THE best bargains in town! You truly get your moneys worth and much more here.

I was treated to an invitation one night to a cocktail party where I was able to meet many of the neighbors. This was very nice and underscores my earlier sentiment that staying at the Old Point Inn truly is like staying with old friends!

I had the "Safari" room which was not only interesting, but rekindled a desire to revisit South Africa. Do not miss the hammock on the upstairs porch or the quiet patio in the garden for reading and relaxing while there.

I highly endorse this property to anyone visiting Beaufort!

PS: The bicycles were also a nice ammenity and one that I used frequently.

We were here only one night......wish it could have been ten. Great B&B, wonderful accomodations and great hosts. Loved Beaufort! Will go back again. Great place to stay between Savannah and Charleston.

Old Point Inn is exactly what you want out of a B&B:
-Historic setting
-Beautiful, well appointed home
-Gracious and hospitable owners
-Great breakfast
-Reasonable rates

The Inn allows views to the water and is situated right next to the oldest home in Beaufort. Julie and Paul are awesome. So often B&B owners make you feel like you are intruding, or are so annoying that you don't want them around. Paul and Julie are so cool that you actually want them to sit down and chat during afternoon wine. But, they respect your space and never make you feel unwelcome. We stayed in the Wedding Gift room, which was the least expensive, but still had its own bath and comfy bed.

We also highly recommend eating at Bateaux for dinner. Get there in time to watch the sunset.

Breakfast was amazing at Old Point! They don't skimp on anything. From conversation, to wine (which they kept refilling), to restaurant recommendations, to bath items, etc. You get the picture. If you want a great experience in Beaufort, we highly recommend the Old Point Inn!

I enjoyed a lot my wonderful recent stay at the Old Point Inn. I stayed in several other B&B's in this lovely town previously but I need to say that this is the best I have ever stayed. Everyone should live such a great experience at this inn where all rooms are decorated with very special and tasty pieces from all over the world which made me a little homesick. I strongly recommend a stay at the Old Point Inn with a great atmosphere and everything. Believe me you will not regret but will thank me.
